Obviously, it is 100% necessary to buy a full new wardrobe when a girl goes on vacay - can I get an amen? I've been searching high and low for the perfect swimsuits, beach hats and straw totes to pack in my carry-on and I'm excited to share them with you below! The only thing I'm still on the hunt for is the perfect maxi dress for dinner...maybe a palm print?! I'm crushing on this one, but holy dollar signs.
Side note: I am new to the carry-on life. I've always checked my bags so I'm slightly nervous about trying to cram all my clothes + my toiletries into a small suitcase! I am also semi-freaking out about the 3 oz restriction on liquids (girls gotta lotta toiletries ya feel me?). Any recommendations or tips? Do you have a certain travel size bottle that you swear by? Help a sista out!
I also added some similar items in the widget below in different styles and price points!
A few things to note:
- The best beach hair texturizer, IMO! I talked more about how I use it in this blog post.
- My current favorite self-tanner! It is more of a red-brown color as opposed to orange, so it doesn't make you look like a snooki-dorito. Plus it is a steal at $12!! My only complaint is that it isn't super dark, so you have to use it regularly/layer up to see a big color difference.
- These nikes are my FAVORITE pair of shoes to wear on vacation. They are cute, easy to style with any outfit, and the comfiest pair of shoes to walk in. Highly recommend! I wore them all over Seattle and NYC and never got a single blister.
- I've been shopping Target swim for years and am obsessed - they never disappoint! I am not one of those girls that can spend $100 on a swimsuit....I just can't. Target is always on point with their prices and always on trend. I can't wait to rock the first one piece I've owned since the summer camp days circa 2002.
- This v-neck from Express is one of my all-time favorite t-shirts. It is SO soft and comfy, perfect for sitting on an airplane, but still looks cute and flattering! I might have to order it in every color available because I wear it at least once a week (if not more).
What are your favorite summer trends? I'm all about the pom-poms, embroidery and off-the-shoulder outfits. Not to mention pineapples and cactuses (cacti?). Go ahead and call me a basic white girl, I'm fine with it.
