I've had several folks ask me recently for my thoughts and experiences with SheIn, so I thought I'd share them with the masses. According to their website, SheIn offers on-trend styles that won't break the bank and prides itself on being "the ultimate one-stop-shop for the modern yet economical fashionista." In my opinion, SheIn offers a HUGE selection of trendy, fashion forward statement pieces for every season at an extremely affordable price. BUT, that being said, you often times get what you pay for. Let me break it down for you.....
Quality
The quality of SheIn clothing varies piece to piece. I've had some items (like the sweater I'm wearing in today's post) that are on-par with pieces from Target or Old Navy. Others pieces have been lower quality, either getting pulls in the fabric in one wear or being cut/sewn weird. I would say those pieces are similar to or slightly lower-quality than things from Forever 21 or H&M. I've learned that the price of the item is typically a good prediction of the quality - the cheaper the piece, the lower the quality. Makes sense!
Sizing
I'm always hesitant ordering items from overseas because their sizing often runs small. I once ordered a pair of sweats (I even sized up) and they made me look like the Biebs in low riding skinny joggers. HA! I am not a fan of looking like I shop at Baby Gap. That is so 2003.
With SheIn, most items fit true to size. Key word: most. I always always always read the measurements and comments, as well as looking through the customer photos. It is so much better to see the product on a real life person and hear their thoughts! I also tend to stay clear of pants - its hard enough to find pants that fit me when I try them on in a store! Be sure to make note of what the items are made out of and whether or not they stretch. Some items are 'One Size' - in my experience that typically fits like a medium - but again, read the measurements and comments to be sure!
Shipping
Like with sizing, I'm often hesitant to order from certain websites because of shipping time and customs. I like my stuff to arrive immediately! Luckily SheIn has several global warehouses so your orders will ship from the closest location to you. In my experience, it takes about a week or week and a half to receive an order. I also appreciate that it is FREE shipping in the US, no matter how much you spend!
Style
SheIn's style is super trendy and fashion forward - they even have some excellent designer dupes from time to time! I love shopping here for those statement pieces that are all the rage (think: velvet, pom poms, ruffles). Since the pricing is so affordable, it makes it easy to buy items that will only be in style for one season. It also helps to justify the quality - since I would only be wearing the pieces a few times anyway, who cares if they don't last forever?!
Right now, SheIn is celebrating their 9th Anniversary with a huge sale! Items are already marked down, but you can use code PPT5 to get $5 off $55, code PPT15 to get $15 off $105 and code PPT40 to get $40 off $200. It is also buy one get one 99% off! If you've been wanting to try SheIn, there is no time like the present. I'm dying over this Bonjour Tassel Tee - after visiting Paris, I think I might need it!
I hope your Monday is full of coffee and that your week flies by. Thanks for reading, it means so much!
