Happy Wine Wednesday, ladies! Last week, I met my blogger bestie Ashley from Sass and Satin at The Pritchard in the Plaza District of OKC for a little wine and dine sesh. Neither of us had been to The Pritchard before, but we knew they had wine and cheese so it made for an easy decision.
The Pritchard was so cute - there was a long velvet bench almost the whole length of the restaurant with tables lined up all the way down, as well as a bar and a few larger tables. They served small plates, cheese and meat, and bar snacks as well as an extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu. Rumor has it, their Sunday brunch is phenomenal....I'll definitely be back to check that out!
I ordered a Pinto Grigio that was actually on tap - go figure! Ashley ordered a classic Underwood Pinot Noir. We both got a second glass, so clearly it was good stuff. For eats, I got an English Cheddar plate and a Sopressata plate. I kind of had it in my head that they would come out together on a charcuterie board, but they came out on separate plates. In a way, I can appreciate the opportunity to pick and choose the meats and cheeses I like and pay for each thing individually, but part of what I love about charcuteries is the variety (and the way they look, lets be real). Regardless of the presentation, though, you can't go wrong with wine, cheese and deli meats. An easy way to my basic white girl heart right there. I saw on the menu just now that they have housemade doughnuts for dessert.....not sure how I missed that when I was there! We must have been having good conversation!
Now, let's chat about this outfit for a second! I felt a little country chic....back to my ag-school / horse country roots! My dress is only $18 and seriously so good. I love the front slits that give it a little touch of sexiness without being too much. It was a little chilly to wear by itself, so I paired it with my favorite moto jacket, but it will be perfect to wear in the summer for festival season. The shirred off-the-shoulder neckline adds just the right amount of boho flair. Be prepared to see this dress again, it is a keeper! I think it would look equally as cute paired with black - maybe even throw a chunky sweater over top for a 90s vibe!
OKC folks, have you eaten at The Pritchard? It has been on my must-try list for so long, I'm happy to finally check it off. I think its a great stop for a happy hour drink and snack and like I said, I'll be back for brunch soon!
Thanks for reading, it means so much!
