Can you believe another month has come and gone? I know I've said that in every monthly favorites post this year BUT SRSLY. Time is FLYING by! We'll be drinking pumpkin spice lattes before we know it (and I'm secretly 100% A-OK with that).
I've been running around and working like a crazy person lately so I haven't really had much time to shop or sample new products this month but I have found a few winners that I'm sharing below. Have you tried any of them?
I've tried a lot of self tanners in my life and this one is a fav! First off, it smells like coconuts. Second, it gives you such a good natural color (not too orange). Third, it is affordable! You most definitely need to use a mitt when you apply it, though, (learned that the hard way) because once it is on your hands, its not coming off. It can cause some weird smudging and smearing if you're not careful, but the color is deep and natural and long lasting! I like that it soaks in really quickly so you don't have to stand around air drying. I always make sure to exfoliate and shave in the shower before I use it.
I am hard to please when it comes to primers. There are really only two other primers I've ever genuinely liked! This Tatcha primer is pressed so you don't have to squeeze a tube (which I love). It has silk extracts in it so it really smooths your skin and helps makeup last. One thing I found interesting is that it puts a protective layer of botanicals between your makeup and skin that helps prevent clogged pores that can lead to breakouts. It really works, too! I haven't had a breakout since I started using it. My only complaint though is that because of that, it doesn't fill/smooth my gigantic pores like some other primers do.
I'm a sucker for anything s'mores so when I found this cereal, I knew I had to give it a try! The graham pieces are similar to Golden Grahams, the marshmallow pieces are like Lucky Charms and the chocolate pieces are like Cocoa Puffs. SUCH a good combination!
Influenster sent me this complimentary mask. It is one that you peel off as opposed to washing it off with water. I love how it leaves my skin (so smooth and radiant + oil free) BUT you have to keep it on for 30 minutes so its a little hard to fit into my schedule sometimes. My only other complaint is that it doesn't peel off all at once - it takes forever to peel it off piece by piece. HOWEVER, that being said, my skin and complexion love it! If you give it a try, be sure not to get it in your hairline or eyebrows or on your lips because it won't peel off those areas - you'd have to scrub it!
This product makes my face sooooo soft and I love it! I have been using makeup removing wipes for years but I hate how quickly I blow through them (I'm always running to Target to buy more). This moisturizing makeup remover instantly cools your skin and literally melts the makeup away - waterproof mascara included! It is very creamy and almost fluffy/whipped if that makes sense. The only bad thing is that I have a hard time using it on nights I don't wash my hair. I can't get the bronzer/conturing makeup out of my hairline without getting my hair wet.
How cute are these? They are great dupes for this pair of Chloe glasses and they only cost $14! I'm obsessed!
7. Nike Roshe
I shared these on my roundup of best travel shoes and I love em! The color is so in right now, they are extra comfy and they are just the right combo of sporty and casual. I wore them on a quick run yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised at how supportive and comfortable they were for jogging. I think they are the perfect shoe to take on trips because they're cute enough to wear with casual clothes but you can work out in them, too!
I wrote this post about my experience with Cocoa Locks. I recently started using the Chocolate Hair Shake (as opposed to the hot cocoa mix) and I love it! I mix it with 5 ounces of almond milk and it tastes just like chocolate milk. It is the perfect dessert treat before bed each night. Plus, I mean, who doesn't want their hair to be longer and stronger and shinier and better all around? Use code AMANDASOK20 for 20% off your Cocoa Locks order!
9. Sno Ball Ice Cream
I've been on such a terribly unhealthy ice-cream kick lately and THIS STUFF. OMG. I find myself cravings Sno Balls from time to time so when I found this at Walmart I had to snatch it up! It is a light (low fat) marshmallow ice cream with a coconut swirl and chunks of chocolate cake. I'm not going to say its the best ice cream ever, (I think it needs a whole lot more coconut to be honest) but it is certainly delicious, especially considering it is pretty low-calorie! I'm also loving Cookie Two Step from Blue Bell. Actually, I should have put that on my collage instead because it is way better haha but it's too late for that now.
There ya have it, folks! My most favorite purchases/things from April! I especially want to know what your favorite ice cream flavor is?? Tell me in the comments! Like I said, I'm on an ice cream kick so I need to know what flavor I should try next ;)
Have a great week and a wonderful start to May. Thanks for reading!
