Roomkey Took Us Out to the Ballgame

This post is sponsored by Roomkey. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Raise your hand if you're guilty of booking a trip and completely neglecting to find a place to stay until the last minute. 🙋🏼‍♀️ I am a huge type-A planner and love a good hotel stay but the process of finding the right one for the right price can be so tedious, stressful and frustrating! It has to be aesthetically pleasing but affordable, conveniently located, and a part of the right loyalty program. Bonus points if there is a yummy breakfast included!

Insert: Roomkey. They make the hotel search quick and easy. When C and I snagged four amazing tickets to a Texas Rangers game and asked our friends to tag along for a double date, we knew we had to find two affordable hotel rooms close to the ballpark....and equally as close to some of our favorite DFW restaurants (i.e. La Madeleine and Twisted Root, YUM)! Roomkey came to the rescue and helped us score two gigantic king rooms at the Hilton Arlington. From our 14th floor room window, you could see Six Flags, Globe Life Park, and Dallas Cowboy Stadium!

Roomkey is like a search engine specifically for hotels. What makes it stand out, is that it is straight forward, transparent and honest! Roomkey is not a middle man, so you don't book through Roomkey in order to receive the low advertised rate. Instead, you find the lowest rate available on Roomkey and book directly through the hotel - there are no third parties or travel agencies involved. You won't find any tricks or sales tactics (like "only three rooms left at this rate") with Roomkey, just the honest to goodness lowest rate available, including taxes and fees.

One feature I really loved when searching for our Arlington hotel was the moveable, interactive map. My brain is basically like Google maps so I very much appreciated seeing where things are located in relation to where I was headed. I know I will appreciate this feature even more when I'm planning a trip to a city I'm not as familiar with. You can narrow down your search by choosing a price limit, a loyalty program/chain, or by amenities; the map will update accordingly to help you choose the perfect home base for your trip. You can click into the properties using the map or using a list!

Once I found the right hotel, Roomkey took me directly to the Hilton Arlington website to book our rooms. If you're wondering why that matters....let me fill you in. Booking directly through a hotel means you get better prices and best rate guarantees, plus you don't have to worry about a reservation getting lost between companies. There are often more flexible terms, nicer rooms available for booking and the option to earn points through loyalty programs. All good things in my opinion!

Roomkey is by far the best hotel search site I've used.... and I'm not just saying that because this is #sponsored. Their slogan is, "No tricks. Just travel," and it fits them to a T! I can't recommend them enough and hope you utilize them for your future trips.

We had such a great time on our double date at the ballgame...and we walked away with a Ranger's win! It was a much needed break from that routine Monday through Friday life and, as all trips do, it helped to reset some creativity and inspiration. I always agree with the quote that says, "If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine....it's lethal." Shoutout to Roomkey for taking us out to the ballgame and fulfilling my craving for adventures.

Thanks so much for reading and happy travels! Comment below with where you're headed next....and/or which MLB team you like to cheer for.
